When you watch animals in the wild move, engage and rest, you will notice their natural connection with the earth. They are in tune with the earth and gravity. And they never exert any more effort than absolutely necessary.
Through our western lifestyle, our body has lost its natural connection to the earth and gravity. We have a tendency to hold ourselves up, together or in, and find ourselves having to push, pull or force to just navigate a normal day, never mind a more challenging situation.
Let's remind the body of what yielding really feels like. It's part of the body's natural blueprint, but gets overwritten by habitual holding and coping mechanisms all the time.
This Yoga workshop will be a playful exploration of how we can establish the conditions in the body to allow effortless and natural movement to be expressed.
